Job Shadowing Day - Summerville, SC

Published by Hank Gottschalk

We had the pleasure to welcome Cheyenne Minus and Alex Neblett to our facility Friday, February 17 for Job Shadowing Day in Summerville, SC!

Cheyenne shadowed Lisa in Dispatch and Connor in Engineering as well as spent time with Mary & Katrina. Each Lady spent time with her going over what they do for the company and the role their position plays in day to day operations. Cheyenne was full of questions about job duties and enjoyed every minute spent with out team.

Alex shadowed Larry and Brian, as well as Jim Yankovich in Quality Control. Jim had Alex making test cylinders, performing an air test and an SCC spread test. Larry had Alex help set up and pour a concrete pad adjacent to the Plant for out new Bender. Alex helped Brian with the metal casting consignment count, as well as assist with a new job placed into Production and helped research a specific customer question.

Both students took a Plant tour and got to write their name in the freshly poured concrete pad. They were full of questions for everyone, including the production team on the plant floor! They had plenty of questions and took numerous notes to assist with their written report of the event for school.
