NPCA Precast Show Awards

Published by Hank Gottschalk

The National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) held The Precast Show Awards Luncheon in New Orleans on May 20, 2021. The highlight of the day was the introduction of the Master Precaster Class of 2021, punctuated by our own Anthony Jackson from Dunn, NC! Anthony was one of 23 honorees who completed the curriculum from Precast University, consisting of Production and Quality School Level I, Level II Safety, Production, Technical and Quality Control courses, and Level III Leadership. The work involves over 100 hours of classroom, study and testing to reach the summit. Anthony’s path started in July 2019 and culminated in New Orleans. He becomes the fifth Master Precaster at CP&P, following Todd Epperly (2019), Randy Bise (2019), Terry Rowland (2020) and Brian Beasley (2020).

Several CP&P plants were recognized at the Luncheon for 2020 accomplishments, including three who have achieved NPCA Plant Certification anniversaries- Summerville (15 consecutive years), Ashland (10 years) and Harrisonburg (5 years).

Three CP&P plants were named to the Top 25 Plants (Quality) list, based on the highest scores in the 2020 Certification program. Greencastle, Ashland and Dunn were so honored- with CP&P having more plants (3) named to the list than any other single company in NPCA!

CP&P also had two plants honored with 2020 NPCA Safety Awards. Greencastle was recognized with the Platinum Award for Category I (0 to 60,000 hours) and Salem was named the Bronze Award winner in Category III (120,000+ hours).
